UPDATES
I’ve had to close the Glossa/Linguae forums (about languages) due to lack of time and lack of inspiration… Well, more precisely: lack of time to develop my inpiration
All the same, I have just uploaded the French version of Linguae, the fanlisting for languages & Linguistics. It was written by me
with a little help from Mercredi, although the main “bêtises” are mine and only mine
I love French, but I’ve never studied it “comme il faut”, alors…
Bon, I’ve also added several codes to the Shoujo-ai & Yuri manga & Anime fanlisting, donated by several nice girls (thankies :geeked:)
What else… Well, the folk dances rehersal has been killing today: we repeated the same “Galician jota” about nine times, and I ended up all wet because of sweat
I had to go to a birthday party just afterwards, but I managed to convince my mother to let me take a shower before. Then we stopped in Pontevedra to buy presents at Imaginarium (I secretly love that shop :luv:) and off we went to Arcade (see map if you are lost).
It was my parent’s godchild’s brother’s birthday (got it?), and he turned one year old today; my father couldn’t go and my sister was bussy with her boyfriend
so it was me the one who went with my mother. I always enjoy going to that house: the children’s mother is Russian and for some reason she finds me “interesting” and she enjoys introducing “real” interesting people to me (I found this Russian girl really interesting too); besides I like children, and for some reason they tend to like me too
So I always end up having lots of fun there (well, today of the children threw out on me, but oh well :smh:…).
Today on this birthday party I met an Irish woman who works as a teacher of Bussiness English here in Galicia; she came with her children and the Romanian au-pair of them, so I practiced both my English and my (poor) Romanian at the same time. It seems that I have a *practically native* British accent when speaking in English, and a *really neutral* Romanian accent when I (try to) speak in Romanian… Whatever, I’m showing off, and I don’t like it, really, but that’s what they said and I somewhat liked hearing it… But I hate complimments, I never know how to react: it’s even difficult for me to just say “thanks”
But Yeah, I’ve had a really nice time this evening. Furthermore, this Irish woman knows a person who could host me in Ireland if I ever want to go there (YES, I DO): I got so happy when she told me…
Oh, and now my parents are going out… (Great!) Yeah, I’m 25 and so on, but when you are at you parent’s home, your parents are still behaving like “parents”, so it’s almost a celebration having the house for a few hours without them
I still got heaps of things to do for the Faculty, but I am so glad that I am willingly going to do everything right now
La revedere!
