I don't know exactly what you need, but I can say that I have made several good Net-friends thanks to The Fanlistings movement, mainly form countries of the EU because I feel them close, and I would say that I like them not "even though" there are differences in some cultural aspects between us, but I like them "because of" that fact, and still, I feel them close...
